## Model specialization

1. **Pretrained starting point**: Areatec started with a pretrained model to accelerate base development without defining final domain behavior.
2. **Domain-specific weights**: Continued training for the urban-mobility domain produced Areatec's own learned parameters (proprietary weights).
3. **Inference inside software**: Those domain-specific weights are used during inference and integrated into Areatec software engines.
- **Disclosure boundary**: Internal model design, training inputs and configuration, versions, implementation details, and hardware remain confidential.

## Applied engines & technical distinctions

1. **Vehicle vision**:
   - **OCR**: Converts visible license-plate characters into text.
   - **Vehicle attributes**: A separate visual task recognizes make, model, color, and vehicle type.
   - Each output is evaluated independently under its real capture conditions.
2. **Speech recognition (Radio over IP / PTT-IP)**:
   - Applied to Areatec's radio-over-IP engine in authorized channels.
   - Voice may be transcribed, and a configured variation from a reference tone can alert designated people for human review.
   - Aretron does not diagnose emotion or intent.
3. **AreaFace (Biometrics)**:
   - Combines **facial comparison** and **liveness assessment** (live presence during capture) as complementary but separate tasks with independent evaluation criteria.
   - No universal fraud protection, certification, or automatic consequence is claimed here.

## Operational path & governance

1. **Authorized input**: Images, audio, and field records enter under a defined purpose and authorized operating scope.
2. **Task-specific output**: The appropriate engine produces OCR text, vehicle attributes, a speech transcript, or biometric comparison.
3. **Application context**: Results are connected to permitted time, place, asset, and workflow information.
4. **Accountable next step**: Defined people or systems receive the record; consequential operational, legal, or personal decisions remain with responsible human teams.
- **Deployment logic**: Processing is partitioned between edge (near capture) and accelerated data center according to project latency, connectivity, governance, and Brazilian data-protection law (LGPD) requirements.
